Property Tax Reminder
Property owners that have not paid their 2017 property taxes must do so by Wednesday, January 31, 2018 to avoid penalty and interest charges added to their tax bills.
State law requires any 2017 property taxes not paid or postmarked by January 31, 2018 to be considered delinquent. Penalty and interest of seven percent will be added to the tax bill beginning Thursday, February 1, 2018.
Penalty charges continue to increase monthly to a maximum of twelve percent. Interest charges continue to increase at a rate of one percent per month until the delinquent bill is paid in full.
The Appraisal District office is located at 841 Justin Road, Rockwall, Texas 75087 and remains open during the noon hour Monday through Friday. The office lobby closes at 4:00 P.M. weekdays. A drop box is located to the left of the front entrance. Please do not wait until the last day as the lines are usually long.
